Editorial Policy of the Publishing Group “Jurist”

Dear authors!

Please be aware that if an author sends an article (hereinafter – the piece of work) to the United Editors Office of the Publishing Group "Jurist" at avtor@lawinfo.ru with an offer to publish it in a printed periodical of the Publishing Group  "Jurist", this fact is regarded as an offer of the author to conclude with any (one or several) juridical person, which is a part of the United Publishing Group "Jurist"* (hereinafter – the Publishing Group "Jurist") a license agreement regarding transfer of the right to use the piece of work in a printed periodical, which in accordance with p. 2 of Art. 1286 of the Civil Code of Russia may be concluded in oral form.

The license agreement (simple license) shall be deemed to be concluded with the author of the article from the moment of taking by the Editors Office of article for publication.

The author authorizes the Publishing Group "Jurist" to use the piece of work free of charge in the following way:

to reproduce the piece of work including by means of electronic media and Internet with circulation of 100 000 000 (one hundred million) copies (right to reproduction);to distribute the piece of work or copies thereof by any means including by means of electronic media and Internet (right to distribution);to make the piece of work available to the public to the extent that any person may get access to the piece of work from any place and at any time in accordance with one’s own choice (making available to the public);to import the piece of work or copies thereof for the purpose of distribution (right to import);to display and/or perform in public the piece of work (right to display and perform in public);to translate the piece of work (right to translation);to alter, to arrange or to process the piece of work in any other way (right to alter);

The Publishing Group "Jurist" is entitled to use the piece of work as mentioned above on the territory of the whole world during the whole period of validity of the exclusive right to the piece of work in accordance with the legislation of the RF.

The Publishing Group "Jurist" is entitled to transfer the right to use the piece of work as mentioned above to the third persons (sublicense agreement) without additional approval of the author of the piece of work.

Pieces of work shall be published only on a free-of-charge basis, no compensation shall be due to authors.

The editorial policy of the Publishing Group "Jurist" which conforms to the legislation of the RF, provides for the right of the author to prohibit to the Publishing Group "Jurist" to use pieces of work, offered for publication in one of periodicals, in other newspapers and journals of the Publishing Group “Jurist” as well as in other periodicals and legal reference systems.

The author’s prohibition shall be formulated in the Application, attached to the piece of work offered for publication in the Publishing Group "Jurist", BEFORE publication of the piece of work at least in one of the periodicals of the Publishing Group "Jurist". In all other cases sending by the author of the article for publication in the periodicals of the Publishing Group "Jurist" shall be regarded as a consent of the author to use the pieces of work as mentioned above in any of the periodicals of the Publishing Group "Jurist" as well as in other periodicals and legal reference systems on the basis of sublicense agreements concluded by the Publishing Group "Jurist"

Dear authors!

Please be aware that publication of articles in the periodicals of the Publishing Group "Jurist" was and remains free of charge. In connection with the authors’ complaints regarding paying to the third persons for placement of articles in our journals, which have become more frequent, there has been introduced a new requirement.

Now all the authors, who send articles for publication, shall sign an application, the form of which is available here. The application shall be signed, scanned and sent at the electronic address of the Editors Office avtor@lawinfo.ru.

If pieces of work are sent to the Publishing Group "Jurist" without the application mentioned above, they shall not be taken for consideration and the issue about publication thereof shall not be considered.
