The ongoing reform of local government is leading to significant changes in municipal legislation regarding the expansion of the circle of senior officials of local government bodies and the clarification of their powers. The changes in municipal legislation that directly affect the application of criminal liability norms for heads of municipal entities for official and corruption-related crimes have been analyzed. The author formulates proposals for improving criminal legislation.
