The purpose of this study is to determine the role of higher legal education in ensuring Russia's technological leadership and to substantiate areas for its modernization in the context of state scientific and technological policy.
This research is relevant because achieving scientific and technological development priorities is directly linked to the level of legal support for innovation and the effective protection of the rights of participants in scientific and technological processes.
The methodological basis of the study was formed by formal legal, systemic, and interdisciplinary approaches.
The study's findings substantiate that the demand for technological leadership is creating new requirements for professional competencies; demonstrate that legal engineering serves as the methodological basis for modernizing higher legal education; and demonstrate the need to strengthen the practice-oriented component of educational programs.
The scientific and practical significance of this study lies in the development of areas for improving higher legal education, including aligning educational standards with the strategic priorities of scientific and technological development in order to achieve measurable results in practical training.
