The article examines general legal issues of operational dispatch control in the electric power industry, its role in ensuring the reliability of the functioning of electric power systems, especially the Unified Energy System of Russia. It is considered appropriate to introduce amendments to the legislation on the electric power industry in order to eliminate terminological inconsistencies by introducing the concept of the Unified Electric Power System of Russia.
