This article examines the current state and prospects for the development of electronic customs in the Russian Federation. The author analyzes the legal and organizational aspects of the digitalization of customs services, including their classification, role in optimizing customs administration, and stimulating foreign economic activity. Particular attention is paid to the international and national regulatory frameworks governing electronic interactions in the customs sphere. A SWOT and WEST analysis identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the Russian electronic customs system, as well as the opportunities and threats associated with its further development. Areas for improving digital customs processes are proposed, taking into account international experience and national specifics.
