The article discusses the coordination of the activities of public administration bodies in the field of support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as a factor of increasing the effectiveness of public policy. Based on the analysis of legislation, statistical data and regional practices, contradictions between federal and regional programs have been identified, which makes it difficult to implement the national project "Small and medium-sized entrepreneurship and support for individual entrepreneurial initiative". It was found that, despite the increase in the number of SMEs from 5.6 to 6.6 million units, the sector's contribution to GDP remains at 22%, indicating a lack of consistency in management decisions. The article analyzes Article 12 of Federal Law No. 209-FZ, which establishes general principles of coordination without specific mechanisms of interaction. Examples of regional cases (Altai Krai, Primorsky Krai, Republic of Khakassia) are given, where differences in the integration of support measures are revealed. It is concluded that it is necessary to switch to a digital model of interdepartmental interaction, implement a program-oriented approach and create a unified platform for evaluating the effectiveness of government support measures for SMEs.
