The article provides a legal characterization of digital violence in the modern information space, highlighting the insufficient scientific development of this issue, which is necessary for the subsequent legislative consolidation of the concept and features of this type of violence. The authors examine contemporary forms of digital violence, establish their public danger through the example of specific crime elements, and determine criteria for the systematic classification of unlawful impact on the object of a crime. Based on an interdisciplinary approach, recommendations have been formulated to counteract digital violence against victims of illegal acts.
