The article examines the pressing issue of rethinking and protecting traditional spiritual and moral values in modern Russia. Based on an analysis of speeches by statesmen, sociological research data, and expert opinions, the author investigates the deep crisis of public morality, exacerbated by the generational gap and global value conflicts. Special attention is paid to the influence of the special military operation as a catalyst for socio-political processes, which has revealed the need for the consolidation of society based on a sovereign system of values. The article also touches upon the problem of the insufficient development of the legal discourse surrounding this concept and the associated risks, including the threat of filling the "value vacuum" with destructive ideologies. It is concluded that the formation of a legal, scientifically grounded understanding of traditional values is becoming a key element in ensuring spiritual security and national identity.
