This article examines the problematic aspects of developing sports agency as a legal institution. It notes the insufficient attention paid by legislators to regulating agency relationships in sports; there are conflicts between legislative acts containing provisions related to sports agency; and it emphasizes the significant role of corporate acts of sports organizations in resolving issues related to agency activities. Furthermore, local rulemaking is characterized by a lack of uniform approaches to legal regulation, which creates an unequal playing field for the professional activities of sports agents. To eliminate these negative factors hindering the development of sports agency in the country, it is necessary to amend and supplement legislation aimed at streamlining agency activities in sports and creating a transparent accreditation system that stimulates the development of sports agency.
