The article is devoted to the Soviet period in the history of the Faculty of Law of Moscow State University. Based on documentary materials, it describes and explains the reforms and reorganizations that university law education underwent in the Soviet state, and describes the changes that took place in the teaching methods of law at the faculty. The article pays the most attention to the life of the faculty in the first decades of the existence of the Soviet state.
