The article discusses the organization and implementation of mentoring in investigative units. It formulates proposals for the organization of mentoring in an investigative unit. It is indicated that the result of mentoring depends on its organization, as well as on the mentor (who is subject to certain requirements) and the implementation of such activities. It is proposed to appoint an employee of the same investigative unit where the young specialist works. The author allows for the possibility of appointing a mentor who is not only in a higher position, but also in an equivalent or lower position than the person being mentored, but who has authority in the team and a certain amount of experience in investigative work, as well as the ability and willingness to share their knowledge and experience.
