The development of international terrorism entails a host of problematic situations, worsening a country's image and thereby negatively impacting the tourism industry, particularly by weakening the country's tourist appeal, reducing tourist flows and the number of foreign tourists, and reshaping the perception, motivation, and goals of tourist trips. For this reason, the aim of this research was to study and assess current trends in international terrorism, which is a major source of danger for the modern tourism industry, and to develop measures to counter this phenomenon. In the course of this study, the author concludes that the potential threats of international terrorism continue to be a crucial factor determining the dynamics of the tourism industry for many countries. Acts of international terrorism today immediately impact the tourism industry, reducing tourism activity and investment in the sector. Therefore, in the long term, it is important to continue to research and evaluate the internal and external aspects of international terrorist activity in order to effectively counter them. Based on the findings of the study, the author proposes a set of special measures aimed at further developing and improving anti-terrorist security in the tourism sector. According to the author, these measures will minimize potential terrorist threats and thereby facilitate the further development of the tourism industry in our country.
