The article shows that the Constitution of the Russian Federation is the basis and prerequi-site for law and order. Legality in legal proceedings is manifested in the fact that the court decides in accordance with the legal provisions that have the greatest legal force. Legality constitutes the meaning and content of the trial. Courts must strictly follow the laws, rules and procedures of le-gal proceedings.
