Purpose. To pose the problem of a doctrinal understanding of the role of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) as a key tool for transition from the classical model of legal education to a dynamic system of continuous professional development in connection with the need to transform the regulatory framework that fixes the interrelation of educational standards and professional qualifications in the field of law. Systemic problems are identified: the dissonance between the content of educational programs and the real demands of the law enforcement and digital economy, the weak development of the infrastructure of independent assessment.
Methodology: General scientific (dialectical, systemic-functional, and comparative) and specific scientific methods of cognition (formal-legal, statistical, etc.).
Conclusions. About the importance of new development vectors: the integration of entrepreneurial competencies, the use of LegalTech technologies and the dual qualification model as a response to the challenges of the changing legal services market.
