The development of democratic institutions in the modern national legal system ensures the broad participation of public structures in legal activities, the determination of their status and scope of legal opportunities, their real place in constitutional and legal relations. Special attention should be paid to the possibility of participation of citizens and their associations in law enforcement activities as one of the conditions for strengthening citizens' trust in public authorities and the formation of high-quality practice of public-private partnership. The article specifies the permissible forms and spheres of public participation in law enforcement activities.
