In the article, the authors conduct a comparative legal analysis of the legislation of CIS countries regarding the involvement of civil society organizations in ensuring public safety. They conclude that there is a degree of uniformity in the regulatory framework for these relations in CIS countries. This framework includes strategic documents at the highest level, general norms contained in fundamental laws on security and law enforcement, as well as specific regulations on the involvement of citizens in counter-terrorism activities, crime prevention, and private security at a lower level.
