Local governments are an important link in the development of physical culture and sports, contributing to the formation of a healthy lifestyle and ensuring the development of local sports infrastructure. The key factor in the effectiveness of their work is the competence of officials with knowledge in the field of sports project management and interaction with public institutions. However, modern practice reveals the problem of a shortage of qualified personnel who are able to adapt to modern conditions and effectively solve the tasks of municipal administration in the field of physical culture.
In light of this, this article examines a mechanism based on constitutional amendments that enables government agencies to participate in coordinating the appointment of municipal officials. The practice of introducing such a mechanism in other areas is being studied and ways of adapting appropriate procedures to the field of physical culture and sports are proposed, involving minimization.
