Corruption is a socially dangerous, historically volatile and social phenomenon that is rapidly spreading in many areas of public relations. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in migration crimes in the Russian Federation. At the same time, the sphere of migration relations is exposed to corruption risks, which is confirmed by the official statistics of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. This article examines the special criminal-material and criminological signs characteristic of corruption crimes that are committed in the field of migration. Based on a retrospective analysis, the article substantiates that corruption crimes in the migration sphere lead to the formation of new threats to the national security of the country and the risk of aggravation of foreign policy conflicts with the states from which migrants arrive. The article presents the author's recommendations, conclusions and suggestions aimed at overcoming the problem of corruption in the field of migration by introducing amendments to a number of legislative acts of the Russian Federation.
