An analytical assessment of the safety culture of medical workers in the performance of their job responsibilities through interdisciplinary integration of forensic and medicine allowed us to consider the concept of “unsafe medical care” and formulate its definition. The forensic significance of the psychological competence characteristics of iatrogenic crimes subjects is determined by the possibility of studying the mechanism of development of iatrogenic consequences, substantiating preliminary conclusions about the guilt (innocence) of medical workers, and developing recommendations for counteracting iatrogenic crimes.
