This article analyzes the process of specification (elaboration) of law, tracing its trajectory from a theoretical model to practical implementation. The study examines various approaches to understanding specification, as well as its place and role within the mechanism of legal regulation. Particular attention is devoted to distinguishing between specification in law-making and in law enforcement. The article explores the challenges that arise during the practical implementation of specification and proposes pathways for their resolution with a view to enhancing the effectiveness of legal regulation.
