The article compares the legal status of university teachers from among those working under an employment contract and their colleagues from among the military. The types of academic and social rights that do not apply to military teachers are identified, and the specific characteristics of the imposition and performance of military duties by military teachers are described. The necessity of improving legislation in order to eliminate conflicts in relation to persons with dual legal status from among military personnel is substantiated.
