According to Article 242.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “imitation” denotes the staging or simulation of sexual intercourse and other sexual acts by minors or by adults portraying minors. This study aims to delineate the object and the subjects of imitation, to formulate a clear, content-based definition of the notion “imitation of sexual intercourse and other sexual acts”, and to evaluate the suitability and pertinence of applying this concept within forensic-psychological examination of information materials of a pornographic nature. The analysis addresses definitional boundaries, criteria for distinguishing imitation from non-imitative content, and the methodological implications for expert practice.
