Objective: establishing the criminological determinants that cause deviant behavior of cadets in the form of physical and verbal aggression, cruelty, bullying, and using psychoactive substances (SAS) together with development of recommendations to counteract these phenomena.
Methodology: fundamental principles of native criminology, developmental psychology and pedagogy, narcology.
Conclusion: the deviant activity of cadets is normally associated with unfavorable leaders that can be found in their educational groups, lack of trusting relation ships between students and their teachers, as well as the unprofessionalism of their form-masters.
Scientific and practical significance: 1) the author established factors that affect the educational adaptations of cadets and cause conflicts and violence; 2) the author developed recommendations for optimizing individual educational work in the educational institutions.
