Active use of electric bicycles and personal mobility devices by citizens, driven by objective urbanization and digitalization processes, inevitably causes a rise in the number of accidents. A straightforward classification of such vehicles and determination of the legal status of their users is fraught with certain difficulties. One of suggested ways of solving this problem is the use of special knowledge to conduct a new subtype of a transport and technical forensic examination with personal electric vehicles as the object of studies.
