The authors of this article explore current issues and the potential of mediation as an alternative method for resolving healthcare conflicts between patients with disabilities and healthcare professionals. The aim of the study is to analyze the specifics of mediation in this area and substantiate its advantages. The role of the mediator is described in detail as a neutral and impartial party with specific competencies, whose task is to create a safe space for dialogue, smooth communication, and lead the parties to find mutually acceptable solutions.
