The article is devoted to the creation and development of the Imperial Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. In addition, the revival of the insignia of pre-revolutionary Russia in Soviet times, i.e. during the Great Patriotic War. The Order of Alexander Nevsky was a unique award that existed simultaneously during the tsarist and Soviet periods of Russian history.
