The article is devoted to the responsibility of officials of the internal affairs bodies, enforcement agencies and judicial bodies for incidents related to the escapes of persons in respect of whom criminal and administrative proceedings are being conducted from the court building. The author, based on judicial practice, analysis of specialized literature and data from the media, discusses the causes of such incidents, the circumstances that contribute to them. The article provides data on the qualification of the actions of officials that led to escapes from court buildings. The author proposes a set of measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
