The article analyzes the amendments to the Russian Labor Code regarding the procedure for reducing bonuses in the event of an employee's violation of labor discipline. It is argued that, to effectively regulate bonus reductions, legislation must establish not only substantive but also procedural guarantees of employee rights. It has been determined that ensuring procedural justice when deciding to reduce bonuses increases the effectiveness of legal regulation of labor discipline, as it reduces the likelihood of future violations by employees. In light of this, it is proposed to supplement Part 3 of Article 135 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation with provisions requiring employers to notify employees, in writing, of bonus reductions by familiarizing them with the relevant employer decision.
