The article explores the possibility of expanding the scope of using modern technologies to achieve the purpose of criminal proceedings by improving the procedural form of conducting judicial inspections in a remote format. The author proposes to legislate the production of judicial inspections of physical evidence, terrain, and premises in a remote form. The article presents an amended version of Article 278.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
