The work examined the process of formation and activity in the city of Kurgan and its district of the executive committee (executive committee) in the spring and summer of 1917: the composition of the executive committee leadership, its subjects, relations with other bodies. It was established that the county committee in the first months of its work implemented a number of urgent tasks to stabilize the situation in the city and county, and subsequently often exceeded its powers. With the formation of a new city duma in the summer and zemstvos in the Kurgan district in the fall, the work of the executive committee began to fade and stopped.
