The article is dedicated to a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of human genome functions considered as determinants of the emergence of new social and criminal threats. Legally significant aspects of using human biomaterials containing genome and genomic information are identified based on a structural and functional approach. The resulting risks to the genetic well-being of individuals and society are systematized. Proposals are formulated for the development of criminal law and forensic mechanisms to counter the use of such data for criminal purposes.
