The article presents results of an analysis of handwriting of close relatives taking into account the prospect of identification of authors based on handwritten texts and short notes. It was found in the course of the examination that handwriting of close relatives does not demonstrate any special or increased similarity as compared to handwriting of persons without kinship relations. In most cases, such handwriting samples differ by a lot of general and special attributes, the aggregate of which is sufficient for a handwriting expert to form a conclusive positive opinion.
