The article is devoted to the analysis legislation in the Russian Federation and some BRICS countries regarding the implementation of the fundamental bioethical principle of autonomy, which allows patients to voluntarily refuse treatment.

This article examines the violation of human biorights by unscrupulous representatives of the legal community within the context of criminological discourse, including the abuse of these biorights by those exercising them. The paper proposes a typology of unscrupulous practices in the field of human biorights based on four criteria.

Objective: to summarize the results of research conducted on new directions in legal scholarship at Novosibirsk National Research State University. Methodology: the following methods were used in writing this article: analysis, synthesis, and a systems approach. Conclusions: as a result of scientific research in Russian and international jurisprudence at Novosibirsk National Research State University, with the support of the Russian Science Foundation, theoretical and conceptual-applied foundations for improving domestic legislation in the private and public spheres have been developed. Scientific and Practical Significance: the results of this research contribute to the formation of a new legal paradigm for Russian law and the updating of the methodology of legal knowledge.
