The article is devoted to the study of the constitutions of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Uruguay and Chile in terms of securing the right to education and its state guarantees. The article highlights the main constitutional blocks that unite the regulation of important aspects of education: the right to education among cultural rights; duties of the state; the status of universities and others. The author comes to the conclusion that detailed constitutional regulation of the right to education is aimed at raising the general level of education in the countries of South America.
