This paper explores the history of shaping up and development of legal education and research at Novosibirsk State University. We aiming to analyze the transformation of legal education and research in the context of the development of research universities and widespread digitalization. Taking into account the development and the current state of the Institute of Philosophy and Law, the article examines the transition from the classical model of legal education to a transdisciplinary paradigm. Particular attention is paid to «life sciences» related topics, to the ethics of responsibility in the face of uncertainty, and to the integration of LegalTech into the educational process.
