The paper examines the financial and legal mechanisms that ensure the legality and transparency of the circulation of digital financial assets (DFA) in the Russian legal system. It considers the technological specifics of DFA and their impact on the formation of a special public legal regime for their circulation. The paper highlights some of the FATF's recommendations, including the implementation of the “travel rule”, the control of DeFi structures, and risk-based supervision measures, as well as the extent to which they have been implemented in domestic regulation.
