The article examines the features of the position of "procedural plaintiffs" in civil cases considered by courts in the protection of an indefinite circle of persons, analyzes their rights and obligations, as well as the restrictions associated with the lack of material interest. The article substantiates the non-transferable public-law nature of the plaintiff's powers. Special attention is paid to the controversial issues concerning the limits of the principle of disposition, in particular, the right to waive a claim, and the inexpediency of restricting this right is substantiated.
