This article examines the scientific and technical aspects of forensic support for preliminary investigations from an innovative perspective. The concept of forensic support is analyzed, taking into account the views of contemporary authors. A review of a number of modern high-tech devic-es used in various investigative actions is provided, demonstrating their advantages over tradition-al forensic tools. Data from a survey of practitioners on the topic of research is also presented. The conclusion outlines the main areas for addressing the problem of implementing an innovative approach to forensic support for crime investigations.
