In this article, the authors explore the rationalization of the established procedure for admitting adult students to educational programs in physical education and sports, ensuring compliance not only with safety and quality of services provided to students, but also the preservation of the quality of training for future specialists in the field of physical education and sports. The study's findings allow for expanding students' eligibility for teaching, as well as reducing the personnel shortage in the physical education and sports sector, thereby increasing the likelihood of achieving the national goal of involving 70% of the population in regular physical education and sports.
