Purpose: To examine the fight against transnational drug trafficking in the context of the global influence of political decisions on changes taking place in the modern world.
Methods of research: the dialectical method of scientific knowledge, as well as formal-legal, systemic-structural scientific methods, comparative legal and historical analysis were used.
Conclusions: For forensic science, there is an urgent need to further integrate into its arsenal of combating drug mafia methods and means not only of economic but also of political sciences in order to identify all the circumstances that contribute to the commission of drug crimes.
The scientific significance: using specific examples of political technologies, it is shown that they are capable of not only adjusting drug smuggling routes and regulating the market price of prohibited substances, but also changing the architecture of international cooperation and creating zones of instability.
