The article examines the importance of the criminal law prohibitions provided for in Articles 207.3, 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as a means of ensuring the ideological function of the Russian State. It is concluded that these norms, in addition to protecting the foundations of the constitutional order, state and public security, perform an important ideological function – they form a common understanding of the fairness of the actions of the Russian Federation in conducting a special military operation in Ukraine and the need to use the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to implement it.
