The article examines the importance of the criminal law prohibitions provided for in Articles 207.3, 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as a means of ensuring the ideological function of the Russian State. It is concluded that these norms, in addition to protecting the foundations of the constitutional order, state and public security, perform an important ideological function – they form a common understanding of the fairness of the actions of the Russian Federation in conducting a special military operation in Ukraine and the need to use the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to implement it.

Статья посвящена проблематике противодействия уголовно-правовыми средствами распространению заведомо ложной и дискредитирующей Вооруженные Силы Российской Федерации, российские добровольческие формирования и государственные органы информации, автором на основе анализа научной литературы и собственного опыта приводятся возникающие на практике проблемные вопросы применения ст. 2073 и 2803 УК РФ, обосновывается актуальность проведения для их разрешения комплексных практикоориентированных научных исследований в рассматриваемой сфере.
