This article examines family values and legal culture; factors influencing their formation, as well as their interrelationship. The author notes the complexity and versatility of such a socio-legal phenomenon as the legal culture of the family, which consists not only of individual legal culture, but also of the general group culture of the family as a separate social group. According to the author, the relationship between legal culture and family values is indisputable. It is family values, which form the core of legal culture, that distinguish it from other existing social institutions.
