Nicholas II's abdication was one of the most significant events of the February Revolution, but most of the research on this topic focuses on the political and moral aspects of the event. However, there has been insufficient attention paid to the legal implications of the abdication, and further research on this topic remains relevant. The purpose of this work is to provide a legal assessment of Nicholas II's abdication, the object being the acts taken in connection with this decision by Nicholas II and Grand Duke Mikhail Alexandrovich, and the subject being the process and consequences of the legalization of these acts.
