The authors note in the article that definitional norms play a crucial, system-forming, core, and framework role in establishing the regulation of a multidimensional and multi-vector social phenomenon, as established in legal acts. The absence of a concept in legislation provokes misinterpretations, errors, or gaps in regulation. Guided by the President's instruction, the authors attempted to define the qualifying features of the concept of "team sport" and develop their own definition of the definitional norm "team sport".
