The article is devoted to the analysis of the requirements that are put forward to the mediator in the legislation of Russia, the CIS countries and the draft law prepared by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. The possibility of introducing a register of mediators is assessed positively. The question is raised about the specific requirements that should be presented to a school mediator.
