The article discusses issues related to the development of the Russian legal system in the context of the formation of a multipolar world. The author analyzes the features of the sources of law, the system of law, the system of legislation and legal technology. Russian legal system is considered taking into account its belonging to the continental legal family, where the main source of law is a normative legal act. Attention is drawn to the existence of private and public, substantive and procedural law in the domestic legal system. Special attention is paid to the use of legal regimes, including means and methods of legal regulation. Attention is drawn to the fact that Russia occupies a special place between East and West, plays a special role in the Eurasian space. The study of the peculiarities of the Russian legal system will make it possible to create legal structures within it’s framework that contribute to the Russian Federation taking a leading position in the international arena and successfully interact with foreign states.
