Contractual Regulation of Relationships Between a Tennis Player, a Coach, and a Tennis Academy in the Russian Federation
Annotation
The article examines the contractual regulation of relations arising from the training of a tennis player at a private tennis academy. It is demonstrated that the applicable legal regime depends on the actual nature of the academy’s activities. An academy may provide physical fitness services or implement an additional educational sports training programme. The authors substantiate a modular contractual model comprising a principal agreement between the academy and the athlete, a separate agreement governing the relationship between the academy and the coach, and additional provisions on the training of a minor athlete, tournament travel and remuneration based on prize money. Particular attention is paid to the allocation of expenses, liability for injuries and settlements upon early termination of the agreement. The development of recommended contractual forms for private tennis is proposed.
