Specifics of the Axiological Sphere of a Criminally Inclined Individual in a Correctional Facility
Annotation
The work is devoted to the study of the system of value orientations and life meanings of individuals with criminal tendencies. The peculiarities of the value-meaning sphere among convicts serving their sentences in correctional institutions and its transformation under the influence of incarceration conditions are analyzed. Special attention is given to the dependence of the value system on the nature of the committed crime and the personal characteristics of the offender. The impact of factors such as adaptation to the conditions of a correctional institution, crisis situations, and health status on the change in value orientations is explored. It is noted that understanding the value orientations of criminals can help law enforcement agencies and specialists in the field of psychology and sociology to better understand the motives of criminals and develop more effective strategies for prevention and rehabilitation.
