Revocation of a License as a Legal Milestone in the Activity of a Credit Institution
Annotation
The article examines the legal consequences of revoking a credit institution's banking license. License revocation is treated as a legal fact that terminates the right to continue licensed banking activities but does not in itself constitute a declaration of bankruptcy. After the Bank of Russia's decision and until management passes to a liquidator or insolvency administrator, a set of special rules governs management, transactions, preservation of assets and the determination of creditors' claims. The article proposes the term post-license regime for this period. The concept does not introduce a new procedure but systematizes legal consequences that already follow from existing legislation. This approach makes it possible to distinguish more precisely between banking supervision, compulsory liquidation and bankruptcy of a credit institution.
