Annotation
The article focuses on issues arising during the review of materials regarding the selection of precautionary measures in criminal proceedings. Based on an analysis of academic views and judicial practice, the author concludes that courts must thoroughly verify the validity of a person's involvement in the alleged crime upon receipt of materials. The author argues that all case orders, procedural documents, and detention protocols must be examined, along with a mandatory review of character materials regarding the suspect/accused. Furthermore, the author asserts that to uphold the principle of the language of criminal proceedings, an interpreter should be involved from the very beginning, taking into account the suspect’s personal characteristics.
